I came
across the original Seeburg Booth Jukebox (shown above) on the
Internet. I decided to try my hand again at creating the look
of a reflective chrome surface. This project was difficult and
took almost 6 hours to complete. I think it has a certain look
of realism. What do you think? I created this project in Corel
X4.
I found
the original Chrome Faucet image on the Internet. I decided to
try my hand again at creating the look of a reflective chrome
surface. This project was difficult because in the original image
it was reflecting images around the faucet. I think it has a
certain look of realism. What do you think? I created this project
in Corel X4.
I found
the original Chrome Nut image on the Internet. I decided to try
my hand at creating the look of reflective metal surfaces. I
think it has a certain look of realism. What do you think? I
created the nuts in Corel X4.
I call
the piece above "Through the Porthole". I had fun creating
this one trying to add depth to it through highlights and reflections.
Hope you enjoy it. I created it in Corel X3.

The image above
was created from a Tutorial
that I found in a book entitled CorelDRAW
Special Effects. It is still available at
AMAZON.COM
I found
the original Pocket Watch image on the Internet. I decided to
try my hand at creating the look of reflective metal surfaces
and glass. I think it has a certain look of realism in the final
image for my first attempt.. What do you think? I created this
Pocket Watch in Corel X4 and it took about 5 hours.

I found the original
speedometer in CorelDRAW 3 Clipart and took it apart to see how
it was designed. I added my techniques to it and above are the
results.
The
design shown above is an idea I cam up with for an Equestrian
Farm in Canada owned by daughter and son-in-law of one of the
members of my On-Line Corel Group.
The logo design is still a work in progress.
This
is a design I came up with for one of our design challenges on
the CorelZONE
(which is no longer active). The challenge was to
design a Duck Stamp.
All in all I thimk it came out pretty good.
This
is a design I did as an entry for the April Design Challenge
on my On-Line Corel Users Group called the CorelZONE (which is no longer
active)
.

This is a design
I did as an entry for the April Design Challenge on my On-Line
Corel Users Group called the CorelZONE (which is no longer active). All the
members of the group will post their designs on our Yahoo
Group Forum Aspiring Corel Enthusiasts and we will go over
the designs during the CorelZONE on-line-user-group meeting
on April 23rd.
The
challenge was to design a software box for DRAW X5. I
know that X4 just came out but as all of us know DRAW
X5 won't be far behind.
I saw
a photo of the government issue Series 70 Colt 45
on the Internet and I wondered if I could recreate a realistic
version of it in CorelDRAW X4. Well it took about eight hours
but I did it. I am really pleased with the final design and I
hope it motivates you to try a project of this magnitude yourself.

This project had
me working with tons and tons of Layers, the Bezier Tool, the
Shape Tool, the Transparency, the Snap to Object function and
much more.
This
is a design I came up with for one of our design challenges on
the CorelZONE
(which is no longer active). The challenge was to
design a realistic looking beer or soda can..
All in all I thimk it came out pretty good.
After
doing the Victorian House above I decided to try creating something
on the Technical side so I took a digital photo of my Cell phone
and went to work.
I had
the opportunity to work with Layers, the Bezier Tool, the Shape
Tool, the Interactive Transparency, Snap to Object, Shading and
much more.

I saw this Tutorial
by Alex Galvez on youtube.com and was really impressed
with the overall effect so I decided to give it a try. This was
an exercise in Perspective and Transparency. I first created
my own design for the front and end panel for the software box
then applied Alex"s techniques for Perspective and Transparency.

This was my entry
in the City Phone Book Cover design challenge that I help in
my On-Line Users Group the CorelZONE (which is no longer active).
We do a challenge a month in the group to keep our creative skills
sharp.
I finally came
up with a logo I think I like to represent Square One Graphics.

In the image above
I was working with creating the look of Shattered Glass using
the extrude and transparency lens in DRAW.
The
above image is one I created as an entry for a Design Challenge
on my On-Line CorelDRAW Group I once hosted every Wednesday
evening from 6-7 PM PST. It was a challenge to create a Personalized
License Plate from your State using all the appropriate tags
for that state. Some leeway was given as to the number of Numbers
& Letters used. In my state of California the standard is
7 characters so I stuck with that. This one was a lot of fun
to create.

The image above
is an exercise in the power of Transparency in Photo-PAINT.
This image of
the California Highway Patrol badge was Created from a B&W
bitmap that was brought into CorelDRAW and a Vector version of
the badge was created node by node. The medal coloring was then
added to the vector image. Then the image was brought into Photo-PAINT
where I applied the Plastic Effect to give depth the the badge.
This is my tribute to the men and women who risk their lives
daily
in Law Enforcement.
The
poster above was one I designed. It was 24"x30" and
it was designed to commemorate an annual Hot Air Balloon event
in 1997.
This one was a real FUN design to do. |
