You might be
wondering why someone like me who is in the business of providing
CorelDRAW & Photo-PAINT training would advertise a Training
DVD produced by another instructor. Well the answer is plain
and simple.
I ordered the
Advanced Artists Power Training DVD a couple weeks ago and
I was totally blown away by how much I have learned from the
DVD so far just in the first few sessions of watching Tom take
the viewer on an in depth and comprehensive tour of the interfaces,
tools and menus of both DRAW & PAINT. Not only does he explain
the workings of the default interfaces of both programs but he
also shows you how to totally customize those same workspaces
to fit your individual design needs and styles.

on actual design projects that he has produced in the past and
shares with you thought process that went into those designs.
I have always been amazed at seeing Automotive Illustrations
on T-shirts, in magazines and on the web and wonder how do they
create such realistic images that are as close to the real things
as possible? Well Tom's Advanced Artists DVD reveals the process
step-by-step. You can see in the illustration above how Tom took
a bitmap photo into CorelDRAW X3 and piece-by-piece recreated
the elements of the vehicle. Then once the outline detail was
done he went to work adding Chrome, Reflections, Shadows, transparencies,
and more that brought the illustration to life. If that wasn't
enough he goes into Photo-PAINT in depth and shows how you can
use both programs together seamlessly in your designs.
